About US

Welcome to Unstuck Studios!

Unstuck Studios is an inclusive creating community! We create opportunities for people to connect with creativity for the benefit of wellbeing and the chance to work through difficulties in community with others. Our goal is to create a safe space in which everyone can engage, tap into flow, and discover in a way that allows each of us to flourish and grow through creativityconnection, and play

The Story of US

Unstuck Studios came to life during the pandemic in response to increased feelings of isolation, fear, struggle, and loss as a result of the global situation, lockdowns, and news cycles. We were kind of dealing with a lot at that time, and noticed that it was particularly challenging to get into creative flow. And it wasn't just us!

Believing in the benefits of creativity and community, and feeling the need for structure and support, we decided to invite some family and friends to join us virtually -- to share in community and to allow space for creativity to come up and start to flow again; to process everything that was going on, and to get Unstuck! With that, we launched our first initiative, Creating Club, an online open-studio based on an Art Hive model. We continue to welcome people to come together virtually, for one hour a week, to create space for creative practice and connect with a supportive community.

Since then we’ve been inspired by our community to offer virtual workshops. We've collaborated with each other and with other facilitators to create unique opportunities for our community to play in creative flow and share in a variety of novel and familiar experiences (baking, macrame, and papercraft workshops, gamifying goal-setting, the Art Game, just to name a few).

Unstuck Studios has partnered with Dark Horse Designs in fundraising for CAMH with their Sunrise Challenge since its initiation in 2021. We continue to raise awareness regarding mental health and the benefits of community and creativity.

With all we offer, we aim to inspire, to celebrate creativity in all its forms, and to highlight the reality that we are all creative by nature. Wherever you go, however you feel, stuck or unstuck, your studio, your creativity and community are with you!
